This bee hive has a removable frame.
The idea is that it will insulate the bees from summer heat and winter cold.

I think the photos tell most of the story.

The bees swarmed off of another hive and I caught them in the box.

seems the license for the video clip has expired - it was kind of cool. There was a Beekeeper at the game and he went back to his car and got his bee-vac and saved the day.
